LENTEN WEDNESDAY NIGHT SOUP SUPPERS AND WORSHIP

• On Wednesday, February 13th we will begin our Lenten journey with the Ash Wednesday Service at 6:30 p.m.  There will be no Soup Supper on Ash Wednesday. The following Wednesday, February 20th, we will have the first installment of our Lenten Series entitled Returning Home by David R. Mattson. 

• Through visits from the characters in the familiar parable known as The Prodigal Son, we will look at the story from different angles and contemplate the Lenten theme of forgiveness.  Each church will have a different schedule, as the characters will take turns visiting the three sites that make up Woods and Waters Shared Ministry. The Wednesday schedule for Bethany Lutheran Church in Cushing is as follows:

Soup @ 5:30 p.m.  
Worship 6:30 p.m.
 
February 20              The Elder Son:  “The Coat Says it All”

February 27             The Mother:  “Where’s Mom?”

March 6                     The Prodigal Son:  “Sunrise Or Sunset”

March 13                   The Father:  “Not Your Typical Parent”

March 20                   The Servant:  “Can I Get A Witness?”

 

During Holy Week:

March 24    Sunday of the Passion / Palm Sunday  9:00 a.m.

March 28    Maundy Thursday  6:30 p.m

March 29    Good Friday  6:30 p.m.
